This was my second mission trip to Viet Nam in November of this year. This video was shot from our hotel to Ho Chi Minh airport on the back of a motor scooter. It's a 30 minute ride but I edited and sped up the video so that it is only 8 minutes long. Pastor Rick of CC The Brook and I had finished a week of teaching pastors and leaders and were headed to the airport to catch our flight home.

After several days teaching in most northerly tip of Sri Lanka in the city of Jaffna we returned by small 2 engine plane to the capital city of Colombia. It is a tight fit, noisy, but enjoyable for myself and pastor Rick from CC the Brook.
Gospel for Asia (GFA) is commonly known for its ministry in India but has also been busy reaching the co try of Sri Lanka even before the 30 year civil war ended. The Bridge of Hope schools are for the underprivileged children. I visited this school in Jaffna while on a teaching mission trip with a group of pastors.
During my mission trip to Sri Lanka I did a week of teaching near the capital city of Colombo at the GFA Bible School. Before I taught the students worshipped the Lord in their language and style of music. Real cool.
Our final day in Ishinomaki. We finished demolishing the insides of the first floor of the future cafe, delivered bedding to those at the relief center, served people at the temporary housing, stripped houses of debris and more. We worked hard but loved serving these wonderful people the whole time.

First mission trip to Japan after March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami. We were there for a week to do relief ministry. This area was less than 2 miles from the ocean and was hit by 20' waves. The ministry in Japan was going to use the building as a cafe for the survivors to come and be served. Directly across the street was an elementary school used as a shelter where for a time over 400 people were staying. We have continued to return each year.
June 2011 Mission Trip to Ishinomaki, in northern Japan. This was work accomplished on the first of many mission trips to Japan following the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Here we assisted the community elders to recover items from a damaged storage building.
Traveling at 125 mph in comfort is a great ride. We took the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) north to Sendai from Tokyo. A 2 hour ride across the beautiful countryside. Includes some interview with team members. The typical cost for a 5 day ticket is $200 but that is for the Shinkansen and the regular commuter trains. Great deal available for foreigners only.
Our trip was to Ishinomaki. a costal city north of Sendai that lost 8000 people because of the tsunami. It was a week of relief ministry. We continue to return in support of a church plant.
Traveling in Japan during most of the day is easy on their commuter trains but at times can be a tight squeeze during the busiest commuter hours of the day when people going or coming from work and school.
