The Divide was not originally intended as a series but a single message. It has become a developing series in response to the events of 2020. The initial message was addressing the social conflicts regarding race with a message focused on how God sees mankind, the human race, and has divided the human race into two groups. This is the meaning behind the title. Soon after God led me to teach on other social issues that are causing conflict in our world to express what God’s perspective is on theses issues. The Divide Part 2, “Throwing Stones”, is related to the issue of social shaming between groups and individuals.

What I want to make clear is that God’s word has believers as the intended audience for we are subject to it. God has a response through the stories and teachings of the Scriptures to the issues of our day. To adhere to his word rather than to “vain philosophies” should be our deep conviction and provide us stability in our faith and response in these times..
