Letter of James

James is writing to Jewish believers. Many have been critical of his letter claiming it is not in harmony with the message of grace. But actually it is and James brings understanding that faith is revealed by works that come from the transformed life. This argues against the thinking that one can claim faith and not act upon it or demonstrate it in their life. On the contrary, a transformed life will be demonstrated by acts of faith.
