First letter to the Corinthians

The apostle Paul’s letter to the begins with commendation but immediately turns to correction. The Corinthian believers took hold of God’s grace unlike those in Galatia, however, they were described as immature in their walk of grace so being tolerant of sinful acts of some within the congregation. Paul then addresses these issues with strong words of rebuke with hope and encouragement for their repentance and establishing a true understanding of and rooted in Jesus Christ.
